The producer Rajan Shahi told SpotboyE.com, “It’s a
historic day for television industry because this is the first show that has
completed 2500 episodes. It is the longest running daily soap in terms of
episodes.”

The story of Kartik and Naira has worked wonders for the
show. Viewers seem to like the fact that personal aspirations and family values
go hand-in-hand for them.
Shahi added that viewers should expect a lot of twists
and turns in the show, here on. “The story will only get more gripping,” he says.

The show is also synonymous with elaborate wedding
sequences. “Each wedding of Yeh Rishta… is unique and people look forward
to it,” he says.
Speaking about Diwali plans he says, "Diwali
celebrations start from the morning of October 18 with a Havan and a lunch. In
the evening the entire cast will get together at my house for a bash.”
